Becoming a Social Media Rockstar

Top Fives Tips

1. DO ONE THING AND DO IT WELL!

Define your style, whether you're the queen of the pencil skirt or have a wardrobe entirely from Forever21...OWN IT!

2. LET THE FUR FLY!

Grab a pooch- they don't take direction well, but they look adorable in the background of your photos; popular bloggers with doggies include Julia Allison who owns a Shih Tzu and the glamourai who owns a Papillon.

3. USE YOUR LBD AND YOUR LBB

Throw on that little black dress and flip through your little black book because I want you to date (or at least wake up next to) a photographer- you need someone to take your picture every morning ; )

4. GET GEEKY!

Get a digital camera (you may need a FlipCam or other recording device later), buy a smartphone (you don't have to break the bank I have a Samsung Finesse by MetroPCS and my bill is a flat $55/mo.); create pages on  Twitter and Facebook for your blog and restrict posts to topics related to your blog.

5. MAKE A PASTIME A FULL-TIME

Like most bloggers I work on my blog in my spare time, but recently I've been offered the opportunity to consult Social Media campaigns of other bloggers and start-up businesses and have decided to pursue a career in the industry.

*Women For Hire, an online recruiting site, will host a FREE career expo perfect for bloggers interested in careers in Social Media, check out the details below.*
