The Versatile Blogger Award

15 BLOGGERS ON MY RADAR...
in honor of Black History month these bloggers are all my play cousins ; )
1. BE THE BELLE  - for budget concious brides, their post about Vera Wang for David's Bridal made my bridal biological clock tick that much faster...WHERE IS HE?!?

2. FRESHER THAN CHRIS - boys blog too...his tweets from fashion week are insightful and descriptive and they make me totally jelly!

3. CLOSET CONFECTIONS - Kendra's got it goin' on in NYC, she's married, has a great career and an even better wardrobe and she's completing the 30for30 challenge for the second time. ROCKSTAR!

4. WHERE DID U GET THAT - this street style blogger is 100% rock goddess and was named one of the Fiercest Black Fashion Bloggers by Essence magazine. She's a Brit living in New York and yes she's cooler than you!

5. ALL THINGS ALISHAN - this Atlanta lifecaster just gave birth to what she calls "a light brown baby" (she is black her hubs is white) and her humor during her pregnancy has kept me in stitches for the past 9 months.

6. SHAVONNE DEANN - this one isnt technically a blog but her tweets are inspirational and funny as hell and her dresses are H.O.T. plus if its good enough for a Simmons sister its good enough for me!

7. CAPITOL FASHIONISTA - this DC style maven loves all things fashion, DC and Chelsea football. I won a gift certificate to Style for Hire the personal shopping company started in DC by Stacy London of What Not to Wear. I especially love the Capitol Fashionista deal of the day posts.

8. JOY LOVES FASHION - she's fabulous, she lives in NYC and she rocks African inspired prints and jewelry like no one else! This is what I imagine June Ambrose was like in her youth.

9. MADAM CJ BLOGGER - even without the "e" this Madam is doin' big things, namely making sure you dont have to rip out pages of the magazines at your doctor's offices for hairstyle inspiration. The blog provides digital tear sheets of the latest celebrity hair do's (and don'ts) that you can print out and take to your magician beautician. My favorite feature on the site is the "girl yo' weave is TOO long" award.

10. MEDLEY INC. - this houston resident first came onto my radar after watching her pull off a flawless event for Jones magazine on Keeping up with the Jones on Centric TV. I love her style and her relationship with her husband. Her tweets about social media and branding are smart and informative. Ask about her!

11. ALY'S ROAD TO 1L - Sorority sister connection aside I love this Law school bound blogger because she is superwoman...a mother, student, dedicated Delta Zeta sister, and now blogger...whew i'm tired just blogging about it! Check out her successes as she prepares for Law school with Blueprint LSAT prep.

12. SUNSET AND SEATTLE - I first met this lovely lady while doing my own Grad school prep (someday i'm going to Business school), her photo blog is filled with gorgeous photos of the Seattle skyline proving that  a great cup-a-joe isn't the only thing that city has to offer.

13. GOOD GIRL GONE SHOPPING - after working together briefly as journalists for Closet Mouse in Los Angelos I begun following the blog of Personal Shopper Elana Pruitt. We're currently both using the Pink Blogger background ...head on over to her blog and check out what all the buzz is about!

14. LA (Un)EXPECTED - after a recent cross-country move this London born blogger to start LA (Un)expected, a blog about her experience on the Golden coast. Hopefully she'll be updating her original blog full of fluff about shopping and makeup...you know the important things in life!

15. TARYN COX- THE WIFE - When get married I want to be a hot housewife Taryn Cox understands this! Check out her tips for becoming the perfect Stepford wife.

Are you B.W.B. (Blogging While Black) email me I'd love to hear from you!

SEVEN THINGS ABOUT ME

1. I'm a proud fourth generation Native Washingtonian. And I miss the DC I grew up in...thanks to gentrification that working-class black utopia no longer exists. But Washington DC is where i'm from; I've traveled the world and have recently come home to stay...at least for awhile ; )

2. I'm turning 30 this year and I'm so excited. Hoping to have a big birthday bash in Brooklyn with some of my girls from T.U. and my California friends that have never been to NYC.

3. I own a West Highland White Terrier (Westie) named Bradley Superstar and my hope is to one day add to my pack. I'd like a few more terriers... a Scottie and a Carin, but first I'll need someone to help me walk them all so I'll save these additions until after I'm married.

4. I'm saving for a home...and in the meantime purchasing lots of home decor items! Can anyone recommend a good Hope Chest? My theme for my new place is a Parisian Apartment. I hate furniture that requires assembly so I don't shop at IKEA often, but I do love Cost Plus World Market and Pier One for furniture.

5. I turned my geekiness into a career...from 9-5 Monday thru Friday I can be found editing for print and the web. Check out my LinkedIn profile for more details!

6. My New Year's Resolution was to develop a beauty regimen for myself. Check back for a beauty post listing the products I've discovered!

7. I left my heart in San Francisco ....take a look at how I got my start as a blogger. How was your day?
