Workin' for the Weekend

WHAT I WORE: tip to toe!

Lela Rose- Within a Dream dress

There's that saying "If you stay ready you never have to get ready..." and this Lela Rose dress from the Rent the Runway store in Georgetown embodies this quote. Its conservative enough for a DC office (knee length, simple cut, goes with the official color choice of DC... navy) yet stylish enough for whatever your evening may bring.

I often go straight from work to blogger events in the city so I paired this dress with a navy blazer (part of an Ann Taylor pantsuit) flats and a Longchamp bag for day. The unique seaming on the front of this dress creates (or accentuates) an hourglass shape.

I keep going out options in a locked drawer at my desk. When the work day is through peel off your blazer, throw on your heels and grab a clutch. This outfit goes from desk to drinks in no time flat. Are you ready for the weekend?

    1. Thanks Kate! I read somewhere that by 30 a woman should know what color (and silhouette) works for for them...this dress embodies that for me!
